Created for exhibition at Blue Hills Round Top, “Brondes Have More Fun” celebrates a woman’s confidence and individual glamour. The piece is composed of hand-cut wooden tiles, painted and placed for visually captivating depth and vibrance within the composition. The dramatic hat silhouette and addition of metallic gold to a vivid color palette blends Western influence with contemporary artistry. The inherent texture of the piece allows the portrait to shift subtly as light and perspective change – a characteristic feature of each Jody Dodson artwork. 

Owing to the use of natural materials, the artwork should be maintained in a temperature-controlled environment, safeguarded from moisture and direct sunlight, to ensure the preservation of its beauty and structural integrity. Beyond its aesthetic qualities, this piece also functions as an effective sound diffuser, enhancing the acoustical character of any space.
